Explorist 500 - entering the caches as waypoints

Explorist 500 - entering the caches as waypoints

I know we can only enter 200 geocaches in each file on the Explorist 500, but I was wondering if a work around to that limit could be by entering the caches as waypoints? Has anyone tried this and does it work? Is it more trouble than it's worth?
