Hello,

I already own a Garmin GPS 76 and a GPSMAP 76CSx

I am considering the Foretrex 201 and the Forerunner 205

I realize that the forerunner is for atheletes and is NOT a hikers GPS, but it really does have 2 advantages over the Foretrex.

1. SiRF StarIII chip

2. Much more compact on the wrist

I downloaded the manual for the Forerunner 205 and noted that it CAN record Waypoints and Routes..... and ...

I have two Garmin gps ( III & V )and want to know is it possible to use one in a static known position and use the recorded information from the static GPS to later correct the recorded information from the second GPS which will be moving, both gps will be recorded on to laptops and I hope to correct the gps data after the information is stored to give better corrected accuracy The proposed ...
