My Magellan Roadmate 700 is discontinued and unsupported by Magellan My device hard drive has been replaced but I require data files. Can anyone point me to an active form or site? (Dec 2007)

A friend gave me his old Exporist 600 because it would not always boot up for him or lock up at times. I've been able to get it to boot most of the time, but the only solution has been to pull the battery out for a bit and then put it back in and then I'll get it to boot up. Just wondering if anyone knows if there is a program that has the wildlife management units on it. It would be nice to be able to tell if a person is leaving his zone or not. Some area don't have very distinct boarders. I have a magellan 400 gps and a garmin quest gps.

When I enter my home address in my Mag 760, it tells me that I have arrived in my neighborhood about 7 houses before I get to mine. Is this as close as the Magellan 760 will get you?

a friend has an explorist 500 and i was able to see the .upt file that stores all points. i was wondering what some of the things in it meant. i'm thinking if i could edit the file and place all info i need in there, then i would have all regular points of interest already loaded right ...

Hi all I just bought a explorist 600. I'm new to gps and I wanted something for geocaching. My question is,when I try to use the usb file transfer my computer doesn't seem to recognise the unit. Im a newbie to the Explorist I bought one in Canadian Tire last month while on vacation 4 weeks ago. Im now back home in Australia for the past week and have been using it fine with Magellan maps for australia.

All was fin until this morning..my unit wont power on. I have tried to recharge the lithium battey via USD..and my magellan car charger ..no luck. I then removed the lithium battery ...

It seems as the 500 and 600 models has not yet gotten the firmware upgrade with the new navigation pages. Sigh! All other models do, but why not the 500 and 600.

Anyone with insight, got any clues or information? I sure like to get better functionality in my Explorist 500.

Has the above ever happened to anyone? I created a route (still playing with MapSend Direct Route) from home to downtown Charleston just to see how we would be routed. As we travelled along the map background turned from white which made reading the roads and route easy to dark blue which made it difficult to read.
