When I enter my home address in my Mag 760, it tells me that I have arrived in my neighborhood about 7 houses before I get to mine. Is this as close as the Magellan 760 will get you?

Is there a "service fee" to use a GPS? Because I was thinking of buying a gps navigation system for my car, but I wasn't sure if I need to pay for it every month or not. So do I pay every month for it (service fee), or do I just pay once for the gps and no service fee??

I've got a phone and it has Tom Tom on it.

When i click "Navigate to" it brings up Favourites, Address and Recent Destinations

I've managed to get rid of the previous owners Favourites, but the other 2 sections still have the previous owners details in them.(About 12 places)

I was told if I put in 20 addresses of my own it would lose theirs but that didnt work I now have my 20 places ...

Been using the new Tom Tom 910 and very happy with it, once I'd figured out you need to change from America map to Western Europe map - this took a frustrating 10 hours to sort out, and was not explained in the manual.

My question is: can I make the unit report miles and metres, instead of miles and yards, or kilometres and metres? Here in the UK roads ...

I am so disappointed that my Tom Tom 300 let me down while driving in York. I was trying to update it but no updates are available. Please advise me what to do?

I am currently running tomtom 5 Nav on an Ipaq 4150. I would like to buy a bluetooth GPS and use this rather than my current hardwired set up (with Garmin Etrex).

This is all new territory for me. I've seen various units on eBay but haven't a clue what I should be looking for. For example is a 32 channel unit worth it? I've seen the blurb refer to Fujitsu Japanese chipset and SIRF ...

I have a Garmin StreePilot 2610 bought in July 04. I use it on car and motorcycle. Over the past few months the top layer of the screen has been progressively delaminating / bubbling up. Soon the unit will be unuseable.

I've emailed Garmin but have not yet received a response. Does anyone else have experience of this defect on Garmin products?

My only experience with a GPS is the Magellan units in the Hertz cars I rent. I want to buy a unit for my car but don't know where to start. There are so many choices...and opinions...I'm lost.

I know I want something that will guide me from point A to point B (duh). Voice directions are a must. I don't care about the abiltiy to play MP3's. Bluetooth for my phone is a "nice ...

Ok so just discovered geocaching but on top of this it has again awakened my desire to own a gps.

What I really want is good advice on whether the garmin 310 will cover my needs i.e. i want a gps for driving ireland and the uk that will give me good accuracy for geocaching. does anyone know also can european maps be loaded onto this unit....any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Can someone post the latest software and firmware please?

I just bought a Megallan 700 off eBay that didn't include the software or new firmware and I'd like to update this thing. I can't seem to register the GPS on the official site either. So if anyone has these files could you please upload them for me. Thanks!
