Garmin Nuvi 300/310

Ok so just discovered geocaching but on top of this it has again awakened my desire to own a gps.

What I really want is good advice on whether the garmin 310 will cover my needs i.e. i want a gps for driving ireland and the uk that will give me good accuracy for geocaching. does anyone know also can european maps be loaded onto this unit....any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Geocaching is not really a strong suite of the Nuvi series, although it can be used for that purpose. The Nuvi's are really excellent mobile GPS devices. Again, they can be used, but for excellent geocaching, you might want to look at the Garmin 60 or 76 series devices. To answer your other question - yes, European maps are available on SD card for the 310, although they are a bit pricey. Check at Garmin.com to see if they have just UK maps on SD card, which might save you some money. Pull up the Nuvi 310 and look under accessories for that device. You will see all the maps available on SD card.
